[ui!]uk’s [ui!] UrbanPulse Now Available on UK Government’s G-Cloud

Being accepted onto the UK G-Cloud makes it easier for us to work with our local government customers to provide open smart city data platforms

Acceptance streamlines local government’s ability to connect IoT data systems to deliver smart city projects, service analytics and community engagement

OXFORD, U.K. – September 28, 2020 – [ui!]uk, a member of the [ui!] global family of smart city data platforms, announced today they have been named as a supplier on the UK Government’s G-Cloud 12 framework. G-Cloud is the UK government’s procurement system allowing public sector bodies to search, evaluate and procure cloud computing services from a framework of suppliers. Now, any UK city, local government or local public service organisation, can license [ui!] UrbanPulse using the government’s Digital Marketplace.

The G-Cloud 12 framework went live September 15, 2020, providing access to more than 35,000 services and more than 4,000 suppliers through the Crown Commercial Service Digital Marketplace. [ui!]uk can be found on the Digital Marketplace here.

Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn - supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

[ui!] UrbanPulse is used by over 50 cities around the world to bring together data from diverse systems to create smart insights. The platform includes our expanding library of over 75 IoT device and system connectors/APIs. Our open architecture is aligned to DIN SPEC 91357 (from the German Standard Institute) and the platform is a highly scalable cloud solution, based on Microsoft Azure, that collects, stores and processes data in real-time, enabling a wide range of solutions to be supported. Cities use [ui!] UrbanPulse to manage data and services for a variety of use cases including: local environment monitoring to improve public health, monitoring traffic sensors for improved traffic flow, accelerating digital transformation. With [ui!] COCKPIT cities can turn smart data into sharable insights and real time information, for example data from micro-mobility, public transport services and crowd sensing informs Mobility as-a-Service, to engage with other services, providers and residents.
